Demolition and site clearing from petroleum products for Zvezda Far Eastern Plant
Preparing the site for the expansion of Zvezda Shipyard’s production facilities.
Construction Phase I:
- developing the detailed documentation;
- dismantling the building with hull production sites and painting chambers.
Construction Phase II – teardown and removal of:
- equipment from auxiliary shops, process pipelines, and 6,690 tons of boiler house equipment;
- railway tracks;
- a 110-meter reinforced concrete smokestack with brick lining;
- metal canopies, warehouse spaces, and a bitumen warehouse with 300-mm in-situ concrete walls;
- underground storage tanks and a fuel oil pumping station with storage for start-up fuel oil, reservoirs, and fuel oil separators;
- the main building of the central boiler house and its two major extensions with a structural volume of 114,124.14 cubic meters;
- a concrete-paved crane track and a steel overhead slurry pipeline;
- a complex of silos and a bomb shelter with a 320-450-mm in-situ reinforced concrete foundation and walls and 2.65-meter pillars;
- other buildings and structures.
Work features: a classified facility, a daily inspecting commission from a customer representative, challenging weather conditions (high humidity, gusting wind, cyclone change, the annual temperature range of -30 to +35C)
